When you write a great blog post you should check you have done everything before and after publishing the blog post to maximize its potential to drives more traffic and engage your target audience.

So in this post, we will discuss what you should do after you publish your blog post. Like I said before, writing a post isn’t worth if you don’t follow any of the steps to maximize your blog post potential to become a great post, increase your traffic and engage with your readers.
Check for grammar and spellings AGAIN!

Check your added HTML code is working
You may add some HTML code to enhance your blog post, to style your blog post. But sometimes things looks ok in preview mode, you have to make sure everything working fine after publishing your blog post. Yup, you may find some inconsistent code and you must fix them right away.
Check all of your links are working
In blogger, you can’t check the URLs are working or not until you post a blog post. So I have to check the links are correct and working right after I publish my blog post. Check whether you added the right URL or the URL is working at all. whether they are internal links or external links check them all.
Pin your post to Pinterest
Pin your post images to Pinterest. Duh Pinterest is everything, right? I know. It is always recommended you to have a separate board for your own blog posts. Pin it there or any appropriate board. If you joined any Pinterest group board pin it there also and then share your own work.
Schedule your post in Social Media platforms. Share, share and share
Social Media is everything in today’s blogging world. You have to share your post, Schedule your sharing in advance. I use the buffer to schedule all my blog post shares once I publish it. There is a lot of platforms out there to share your blog post, try them and it will ease your life. And don’t forget to share other’s content as well.
Pin your newest twitter sharing tweet to your twitter profile
You may tweet others work as well with your own blog post promotion. And your tweet goes down as you share other posts. So if someone sees your profile they see what’s on the top and that may not be your blog post.
But if you pin your tweet to your profile it will always be the first tweet on your profile and everyone who looks your profile sees your tweet.

Respond to all the blog+ Social Media comments
People take a minute of their valuable time to leave a comment. The only thing you can do to show gratitude is by responding to their comment. Don’t let them feel they are never going to comment ever again.
Send a newsletter if you have an email list
If you are struggling with your email newsletter, you got one covered. You can send your newest post detail in your next newsletter. It’s another great way to drive traffic to your site.

Track your stats
Does that matter? YES. You know what type of blog posts have the most traffic and that means your audience prefer what kind of posts. So you know what type of post you have to write in future. And that will ensure your target audience to come back to your blog.
After 30 days
- Repin your post on Pinterest and share on other Social Media platforms you are using.
- Check added links are working properly.
- Check whether you have any recent relevant blog posts that can link. If there is any update the blog post including the link to your newer post.
