It was our second day in Big Sur. The hotel was covered with mist and it was cold. Views were incredible with the mist. Its the time to hit the road again.
We drive straight to the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. We hike the trail to the Pfeiffer Falls. It was bit confusing to find. I was really afraid of meeting a mountain lion. Good heavens we didn’t see any.
Then we visited Partington Cove. It is also hard to find as there is no sign indicating the cove. But there were several vehicles stopped off the road and we guessed the place and we were right. There is not much of a designated parking area, so we park off the road. It was a steep dirt road. We have to go over a wooden bridge, through a forested grove, and through the tunnel to the Partington Cove.
Next stop was Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. We went inside the park, parked our car and walk along the McWay fall overlook trail. Park was easy to find there were a sign along us1 indicating the park.
After that we were all tired and hungry. We drive to Lucia Lodge and it was a good place for a quick lunch with a good view.
After lunch we headed to Elephant Seal Rookery. Oh my god there were thousands and thousands of elephant seals. We stayed there for about half an hour looking at those giant seals lying on the shore and playing in the sea.
Our last stop for the day was Morro Bay. Unfortunately we went there pretty late, even though it was obvious daylight everything was covered with mist. We drove near to the rock but were unable to see anything and drive to the hotel sadly.
See you guys another day with another place..
