A Puppy? Yes a puppy. my whole life I wanted a puppy and finally we got one. He is such a sweet little boy, but he can be handful. We call him biting piranha sometimes, I think it suits him better than Teddy. This is Teddy 8 week old golden retriever.
Remember our trip to CA. and our next stop is….. famous Los angeles. I was so exited to go there. it was such a nice and warm city. We first went to see the famous hollywood sign. It was a hot day in California, I remember saying how hot it was compared to NH.
Then we went to Griffith Observatory park. It was mid day and the view is so beautiful. You can see hollywood sign from here clearly. We didn’t went there during night time but if you do, you can see night city view beautifully up here.
Our next stop was Hollywood and Highland center, another place to see hollywood sign and a great place for dine and shop. We had our lunch there and walked among shops. Hollywood walk of fame is right out there.
Hollywood walk of fame. awesome place to walk and wander. There are lot of interesting characters on the street. It is not a vacation to LA unless you go to hollywood walk of fame. It can be quite difficult to find your favorite star from thousands of stars.
Can we take a moment to adore this mug and this mobile charger. They are so cutee. Anything cute and paper I am instantly in love with. How cute is that sticky note set.
I always wanted to try out this glam glow masks. Everyone out there has used it and loving it but me. Ohh I’m in love with everything here.
Please Santa i’ve been a good girl this year. I promise.
So I wrote about our trip on US1- Big Sur. We are all done in Big Sur and its time to move down. The next day we drove straight to the beautiful Santa Barbara. First we went to the Waterfront and Stearns Wharf. It was a gorgeous sunny day. Next we went to Santa Barbara County Courthouse. What a beautiful place and what a beautiful views.
In the afternoon we drove to Matador Cave in Malibu. It was a beautiful little beach.
In the evening we were in famous Santa Monica pier. We spent whole evening wondering everywhere, in beach, third street promenade. It was such a nice place to walk and walk. Watching sunset on the beach and beautifully lighted santa Monica pier.
It was our second day in Big Sur. The hotel was covered with mist and it was cold. Views were incredible with the mist. Its the time to hit the road again.
We drive straight to the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. We hike the trail to the Pfeiffer Falls. It was bit confusing to find. I was really afraid of meeting a mountain lion. Good heavens we didn’t see any.
Then we visited Partington Cove. It is alsohard to find as there is no sign indicating the cove. But there were several vehicles stopped off the road and we guessed the place and we were right. There is not much of a designated parking area, so we park off the road. It was a steep dirt road. We have to go over a wooden bridge, through a forested grove, and through the tunnel to the Partington Cove.
Next stop was Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. We went inside the park, parked our car and walk along the McWay fall overlook trail. Park was easy to find there were a sign along us1 indicating the park.
After that we were all tired and hungry. We drive to Lucia Lodge and it was a good place for a quick lunch with a good view.
After lunch we headed to Elephant Seal Rookery. Oh my god there were thousands and thousands of elephant seals. We stayed there for about half an hour looking at those giant seals lying on the shore and playing in the sea.
Our last stop for the day was Morro Bay. Unfortunately we went there pretty late, even though it was obvious daylight everything was covered with mist. We drove near to the rock but were unable to see anything and drive to the hotel sadly.
So it is officially christmas. My favorite holiday of the year. I cant believe its only 23 days away. Time really flies huh. It is time for celebrations, Gifts and love. Speaking of gifts I thought of helping you out there to find the perfect gift.
I cant believe that thanksgiving weekend is over. four happy relaxing days were gone and were are back in to working mode. My favorite part is shopping ,shopping and good foods. we are all in that food coma after thanksgiving weekend right? I really love this holiday spirit and I’m really thankful for everything in my life. For this thanksgiving I made this apple banana cake with the remaining apples we got from our apple picking trip. I was delicious and super moist. It was pretty simple and here is the recipe.
3 medium size apples
2tsp lemon juice (to keep apples from browning)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon
sliced almond or pecans for topping
peel the skin off and slice apple in to small pieces and add lemon juice. this will prevent them from browning.
in a bowl add bananas and mash them with a fork.
add eggs and mix together
add sugar, maple syrup and mix again.
add baking soda and baking powder to the flour and slowly add them to the mixture and start mixing.
finally add vanilla, cinnamon and blend for about a minute.
add apples and mix all together.
pour the mixture to a 9*9 baking pan and sprinkle up sliced almonds and pecans.
bake 350 degrees for 40 min.
What is your favorite part of thanksgiving holidays?
well I officially haven’t set foot to sephora store or drowned into sephora.com for a long time, yet i survived. but you know that itchy feeling that comes constantly still you don’t need anything but you haven’t buy anything from sephora. I feel you girl. so in last lazy cold weekend I logged in to sephora and browsed for hours i guess. and ordered only two items, well at least thats enough.
I always loved this Korres wild rose advanced brightening sleeping facial. it really refreshing, I loved the smell and I always sees a difference when I use this.
I wanted to try this Luminizing black mask from boscia for a long time and now its the time. I heard a lot of good reviews and will see are they all saying the truth. I was always reluctant to spent a lot of money for a mask, you know you just washed it away after few minutes. it feels you are wasting money. Finally I made my peace with it. hehe.
Well apart from those I got two perfumes and one brow kit as samples. I heard a lot of good reviews about this Nest perfume and also about this Anastasia brow duo. Lets see how it goes.
Hello lovelies last week I recapped of our vacation in santa cruz and this week is my one of the favorite places, BIG SUR. The Pacific Coast Highway, known as California Route 1, is the ultimate road trip route. If you ever visit pacific cost never ever forget to visit this amazing place. The beauty cannot describe in words. It was really magical place for me. On our way from santa cruz we drive a little further through US 1 and again drive back to our hotel. Main reason we did that way is because we didn’t have full two days to enjoy BIG SUR and hotels in BIG SUR are insanely pricy.
On our first day we visited Point Lobos Nature Reserve and Pfeiffer Beach (actually we reached Point Lobos Nature Reserve in the afternoon and we only have time to visit this two places)
We hiked through cypress cove , soon after we start hiking we can see the views of headland Cove with Sea Lion Rocks in the distance. We also heard the sea lions barking from their rocks. Half way through our hike we will reached Pinnacle Cove. Before heading back, we took the short trail to left for a view of North Point. On our loop back there is a short trail leading to see another beautiful cove, Cypress Cove.
Then we come back and drive to the parking near china cove. Stairs to go down to china cove was closed for some reason but we can see it from distance. It was pretty much it. You might need more than a day to see all of it. But with our limited time we only visited those two places.
Then our stop was Bixby Bridge. It offers a stunning view of the coast. you may be familiar with this as it is common in most car commercials. There was a great photo spot on the North side of the bridge. We stayed there nearly half an hour. By that time mist covered everything and it was gorgeous. It was like we were in the middle of clouds.
Our last stop for the day was Pfeiffer Beach. It was hard to spot as there is no sign on the road. We went pass by it and turn around and came back. The location was 0.9m miles after we met Pfeiffer state park. There was no sign but we guessed the road and went in. after driving for few minutes there was a sign saying Pfeiffer Beach. We drove about 2 miles to the parking and then walked down to the beach. It is really a good place to see sunset.
