It is day 2 in Paris. The day I visited the Eiffel Tower. The day I never forget. In the morning we went to Place du Trocadero. It’s about 30 min metro ride. It was raining in the morning and because of that, there were few people.
We booked a Skip the Line Eiffel Tower Tour with Fat Tire Bike Tours. It was really worth it. I’m really, really glad we ended up booking this tour. because of the line to the Eiffel tower crazy long. However, with our tour, we really did skip the line and went right on up.
Then we walked along the Parc du Champ de Mars to Wall for Peace. Parc du Champ was actually closed at the time we visited.
after all of that, we went to Jean Paul Hevin Chocolatier patissier Paris to get some chocolates and François Pralus to get La Praluline.
The views down Rue Saint-Dominique (in the 7th arrondissement) is one of the loveliest spots to admire the tower from afar.

In the evening we went to the Louvre. It was a Friday and the museum was opened until 9.45pm, so we took the advantage and went in the evening. To cut an hour or more off from the queue time, we used the entrance directly accessible from the Metro station Palais Royal-Musee du Louvre. I’m not really a museum person which made it easy to navigate through the museum.
There were only a few pieces I was targeting for and I think within 2-3 hours I was done. There is rick steve 2-hour audio guide to explore the Louvre. You can find it here. I was planning to follow this guide but ended up just wander across and saw the most famous artworks. And when you are in Louvre don’t forget to look up.
